Terms of Service

Kova lets you define an investment strategy, submit portfolio information, and receive briefs that measure alignment between your portfolio and the strategy you wrote. Kova can be used through the web app, API, CLI, MCP clients, and supported AI agent integrations.

Kova is a reflection and strategy-alignment tool. It helps you compare your portfolio with your own stated rules; it does not make decisions for you.

Kova is not a financial adviser. It does not provide personalized financial, tax, legal, accounting, brokerage, custody, or investment advisory services. It does not place trades, manage money, recommend securities, or predict market performance.

Kova outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or based on stale information. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, confirming facts, consulting qualified professionals when appropriate, and making your own decisions.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Kova. Kova is available globally where use of the service is legally permitted. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you, including rules related to investing, taxes, data protection, and use of AI tools in your jurisdiction.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account, API tokens, OAuth grants, CLI configuration, and MCP clients.

Paid access requires billing to be active. Trials, subscriptions, invoices, payment methods, cancellations, and billing portal access are handled through Stripe. If billing lapses, app access and API, CLI, and MCP access may pause until billing is restored.

Refunds are not provided except where required by law. Kova may consider discretionary refunds if you contact info@kovatools.com.

You keep ownership of the strategy, portfolio, upload, prompt, and other content you submit to Kova. You give Kova permission to process that content as needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for having the right to submit it. Kova's outputs depend on your strategy, portfolio data, market data, and AI-generated analysis, all of which may contain errors or become stale.

If you connect Kova to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, custom scripts, or other AI and agent tools, those clients may send data to Kova and receive Kova results at your direction. Protect your tokens and review the policies of any external client you use.

Do not use Kova to violate the law, infringe rights, submit data you do not have authority to provide, misrepresent outputs as professional advice, bypass security or billing gates, access another user's data, overload the service, reverse engineer restricted systems, or interfere with Kova's operation.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access for abuse, nonpayment, security risk, legal compliance, or activity that could harm Kova, other users, service providers, or the public.

We aim to keep Kova reliable, but the service may be unavailable, delayed, rate limited, changed, or discontinued. Features, integrations, models, providers, prices, and retention rules may change as the product evolves.

We may update these terms by publishing a new version with a new date. Continued use of Kova after the update means you accept the updated terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kova is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that briefs, scores, prices, AI outputs, market data, integrations, or availability will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for your decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kova will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for trading losses, lost profits, lost data, or investment outcomes. Your decisions remain your responsibility.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
